I know some people are still a little hung over from Friday night. I know, too, that others feel that 2011 is old news already. We're into our third day of it aren't we? It's nothing so different, is it? Or is it? Actually, it is. It is, or is going to be, very different indeed. Coming up in the next 24 hours or so, we get a rare solar eclipse plus a conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus. That's an extremely auspicious omen for a year of much-needed change. Watch your 2011 Video Forecast, completely free, here. Tuesday January 4 Viva La Revolution Today is a big day. It brings two, distinctly different, exceptionally potent developments in the sky. One is visible, at least in some parts of the world. It involves the Sun being eclipsed by the Moon. Even if you don't see it, you'll feel this influence. It will manifest, somehow, as an existing, established arrangement being changed by a new mood or spirit. Appropriate really, for New Year. So, too, is the conjunction of Uranus (you need a telescope to see that) with Jupiter (currently the brightest object in the evening sky). That speaks of a big, brave revolution! Well, ask the Afghanis or Iraqis about that. You said all 12 signs would achieve this feat! Richard Dear Richard, Did I? Or did I say we all had that potential? And why go all the way to Afghanistan to find folk with fewer blessings to count (though even they have some). There are exceptions much nearer home. Thursday January 6 What's in a Name? Before Christmas, we were holding a discussion here, about the sign of Cancer. We were asking whether its name carries too many unfortunate associations. I haven't raised this topic for a while, largely because, while I'm still getting letters, none seem to be saying anything new. So I've just been quietly reflecting. On balance, at the moment, I feel most inclined to make a small, gentle change and adjust the name of the sign, in all my printed and spoken predictions, from Cancer to Cancerian. Dear Jonathan, Did we not pass into the Age of Aquarius a few years ago? Did that not hold the promise of a kinder Earth, less of a selfish society and a time of enlightenment? I have not seen one iota of this to date. We are living in a time of politicians representing big business rather than the people who vote for them and acting as bully-boys in pursuit of oil and wealth like never before. When will it change?
