Dear Connie, |
TUESDAY May 22 Bees, hexagons and quarks Dear Jonathan, Disappearing bees? A strange hexagonal shape on Saturn? The two may be connected. Bees famously do a 'waggle dance' to tell the rest of the hive where pollen is to be found. This dance has been often observed, but never explained. Barbara Shipman is a theoretical mathematician whose father is a bee scientist. She studied the 'dance' and found it similar to the behaviour of subatomic particles called quarks. It has been suggested that both behave as if they somehow exist in a six-dimensional universe. Teresa

WEDNESDAY May 23 When spirits take over... Hi Jonathan, A psychic once told me that when people are in major physical trauma, spirits take over their body. People in situations that look horrific are actually in a state of grace. Is this true? Sarina
Dear Sarina, |
THURSDAY May 24 Ant-thesis Dear Jonathan, Your recent comments about additional dimensions remind me of a "game" I once played with my sons. I would point out an ant crawling along the ground near the house, and ask, "Do you think that ant knows there's a house a few inches away?" Then I'd say, 'What do you suppose is right beside us that we are not yet able to recognize?" I believe true integrity begins with the words, "I don't yet know." Our big idea that humans are "at the top of the existence heap" could be the blindest assumption of all. Ruth |
FRIDAY May 25 Neptune Discombobulation Hello Jonathan, Is something making many of us feel discombobulated? I have been losing things for weeks. My life is chaotic yet normally, I am organized. Friends have had similar experiences. Cindy
Dear Cindy, |
SATURDAY May 26 Moon, Jupiter and Sagittarius When the Moon becomes Full in Sagittarius at the end of this week, it will be right next to Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius. This giant planet just so happens to be in its own sign at the moment. For those born under the sign of the centaur, this is auspicious. And it also says something about what lies in store for the rest of us. We are entering a time of optimism and excitement. When faith begins to replace despair, even supposedly hopeless problems, like global warming or bitter conflict between nations, may have eventual solutions after all. |
